Every year, theatrical charity Acting for Others raises valuable funds with a bucket collection following performances.
Running for a fortnight, 2015 collections saw £232,791 raised in 86 theatres. This money went towards supporting 15 theatrical charities' work with theatre workers.
These include Actor’s Children’s Trust, Grand Order of Water Rats, King George V Fund for Actors and Actresses and The Theatrical Guild.
Theatres confirming their participation so far this year include most of London's West End houses, Scotland's Edinburgh Playhouse, Kings Theatre Glasgow, Pitlochry Festival Theatre and Citizens Theatre, Clwyd Theatr Cymru, Wales Millennium Centre and New Theatre Cardiff from across the Welsh border and regional theatres from Victoria Theatre, Halifax to Theatre Royal & Drum Theatre Plymouth.
