Auditioning: Royal and Derngate needs ensemble actors

Northampton’s Royal and Derngate is looking for people to be part of a community ensemble alongside the professional cast in John Steinbeck’s The Grapes of Wrath.

The theatre is looking for about 30 people who are over 18 for the ensemble. All are non-speaking parts. No experience is necessary. Selected community actors will be given the chance to take part in a series of weekly workshops with a team of theatre professionals.

Auditions will take place at the theatre on Wednesday 11 January, with slots at 6, 7 and 8PM. Anyone interested should register and get a timed slot to attend by downloading a registration form from the Royal and Derngate web site or by picking one up from the box office.

Those selected will be invited to a series of workshops which will take place on Wednesday evenings from 1 March to 3 May. The Grapes of Wrath will be performed from Tuesday 9 May until Saturday 20 May.
