Nicola Gardner debuts her brand new comedy, The Community Centre, about community chaos in Manchester next week.

The play, directed by John Klark, takes a comic romp around the Community Centre, and sees inner city Manchester inhabitants, workers and loafers from far and near come together.

Nicola is an established performer and has appeared in TV productions such as Coronation Street, Emmerdale, The Royal and Brookside. Klark is an emerging director and playwright. A graduate of the Royal Court Writers’ programme, he was also long-listed twice for the Bruntwood Prize for Playwriting.

The production takes place at the International Anthony Burgess Foundation from September 20 to 24, with a BSL Interpreted matinée performance on September 23 at 14:00.
