Aspiring artists and designers are being invited to enter a competition to design a new shoe for Cinderella at Nottingham Playhouse.

Children aged from 5 to 11 have until Monday 13 November to submit their designs which will be made into a real pair of shoes and exhibited at the Playhouse over the panto season.

Kenneth Alan Taylor, director and writer of Cinderella, will judge the designs. He said, “we want you to be as imaginative as possible—you should consider pumpkins, glitter, sparkles, sequins and of course a sprinkle of magic.

“This is your chance to step into the limelight and shine—we encourage you to be bold, daring, inventive and have some fun.”

Cinderella will run at Nottingham Playhouse from Friday 1 December until Saturday 20 January 2018.

To enter the competition, entrants must choose one of the shoe templates which can be downloaded from the Nottingham Playhouse web site.
