If you’re dying for a laugh, say hello to Goodbye Günther which comes to The Dukes for one night only on May 1.
This one-man comedy about death features Frank Wurzinger as Günther Obermaier who begins to live life to the full when he discovers he hasn’t long left.
He makes plans, plays music and chats to his goldfish, keeping a brave face while trying to convince the audience and himself that he’s all right.
Goodbye Günther is affectionate and life-affirming rather than melancholy and is a mix of physical comedy, pathos and joy.
Performed in The Round at the Lancaster theatre, Goodbye Günther is a Lancaster Arts City First Friday event and is recommended for anyone aged 13 plus. There will be a talkback session after the show.
