The nominees have been announced for the Empty Space…Peter Brook Awards, the awards scheme founded by Blanche Marvin of London TheatReviews and now in its 24th year.
The awards are in two parts, the Empty Space…Peter Brook Award and the Dan Crawford Innovation Award which sees winners received £2,000 in cash and the Peter Brook Special Achievement Award recognising the work of two individuals.
The nominees are

- Union Theatre - Sasha Regan
- Gate Theatre - Christopher Haydon
- Ustinov Studio @ Theatre Royal Bath - Laurence Boswell
- Open Court @ Royal Court - Vicky Featherstone
- The Shed @ National Theatre - Ben Power
Blanche Marvin is joined by a panel of theatre journalists in the selection process.
The nominees for the Awards that support companies in developing their work and presenting it in London, the Mark Marvin Rent Subsidy Award, the Peter Brook / Equity Ensemble Award and the Peter Brook / Mobius Award will be announced shortly.
Blanche Marvin will be joined by theatre producers, Peter Wilson and Thelma Holt and Sarah Murray, head of the National Theatre Studio, in selecting the winners.
All the winners will be announced on 5 November.
