D.O.A. from 1956 Theatre

Manchester-based theatre company 1956 Theatre presents a stage adaptation of 1950s film noir D.O.A. at The Kings Arms Theatre, Salford next month.

Originally a suspenseful thriller, they have transformed the piece into something of a farcical comedy using physical theatre and drawing inspiration from Brechtian techniques.

It all becomes a dark tale of deception, romance and murder. Frank Bigelow's been poisoned and with just hours to live he embarks on a witch-hunt to find and avenge his killer. But whodunnit?

With a cast of eight playing more than 25 different roles it will run from November 13-16.
