From the "Scottish Play" to Shere Khan, a handbag to "to be or not to be" via the boy who never grew up, five classic tales will be brought to life in a pop-up 500-seat outdoor theatre in Manchester this summer.

Presented by Northern Rep, Manchester Open Air Theatre will run from July 31 to September 2 in Chorlton Park.

Five productions, Macbeth (William Shakespeare), The Jungle Book (Rudyard Kipling), The Importance of Being Earnest (Oscar Wilde), Peter Pan (J M Barrie) and Hamlet (William Shakespeare), will be presented in rep over five weeks.

The same core company of actors, stage managers, designers and the director, create and perform all of the shows.
