Accessible: dotdotdot dance strips flamenco back to its essence

No Frills, a “fresh and powerful investigation of flamenco” which won the dance award at Buxton Fringe 2014, returns to the festival for the third time.

Drawing on their experience performing across four continents, six young artists from dotdotdot dance ask people to put aside their preconceptions of what flamenco is and look at its rhythms, melodies and power.

No Frills is about “stripping flamenco back to its essence and making it accessible for all audiences”.

Dancers Yinka Esi Graves, Noemí Luz and Magdalena Mannion are joined by musical director Liam Howarth, costume designer Cristina Galán and lighting desinger Hugo Mata Parducci.

No Frills will be performed in Buxton Pavilion Arts Centre Studio on Monday 13 July at 9:30PM and Tuesday 14 July at 5:30PM.
