Full cast revealed for Curve’s Streetcar Named Desire

Leicester’s Curve has announced the full cast for Tennessee Williams’s seminal work A Streetcar Named Desire which opens Nikolai Foster’s inaugural season as artistic director.

As previously announced, Charlie Brooks will play Blanche DuBois and Stewart Clarke is Stanley Kowalski.

Charlie Brooks will be reunited with Foster after appearing in the Curve production of Jonathan Harvey’s Beautiful Thing. She is probably best known as Janine Butcher in EastEnders.

Stewart Clarke’s credits include Stephen Sondheim’s Assassins at the Menier Chocolate Factory in 2014 and Eddie Arch in Eliot Davis and James Bourne’s Loserville at the Garrick Theatre in 2012.

The cast of A Streetcar Named Desire also includes Dakota Blue Richards (Stella), Sandy Foster (Eunice), Patrick Knowles (Mitch), Natasha Magigi (nurse / African-American woman), Mark Peachey (Steve), Nick Read (young collector / doctor) and Juan Pablo Yepez (Pablo).

A Streetcar Named Desire runs at Curve from Friday 16 October until Saturday 7 November. Press night will be Tuesday 20 October.
