The Ghosts Of Kirkdale

The abandoned children of Victorian Liverpool are brought back to life in The Ghosts Of Kirkdale by Lyn Wakefield, a poignant tale of friendship and new beginnings, at the Unity Theatre in Liverpool July 11-12.

Set in a workhouse-style industrial school in 1880s Liverpool, a group of forgotten children struggle to overcome the hardships and harsh regime of the sinister Mr Goodridge who believes the children are a result of "laziness, drunkeness and vice" and mere "paupers" getting what they deserve.

It’s a brand new play, suitable for all ages.
