October 10 was World Mental Health Day and to show their support, along with many other buildings worldwide, Yvonne Arnaud Theatre was among the Guildford landmarks that were lit up in purple.
Visitors to the town also saw Guildford Castle, Tunsgate and the Guildhall in purple lights.
On this day each October, this annual awareness event tries to bring attention to mental illness and its major effects on people's lives worldwide and the need to provide more information on mental wellness.
