Guildford's Arnaud announces new season

Yvonne Arnaud Theatre's new season will feature performances from Robert Powell, Liza Goddard, Felicity Kendal, Stephanie Beacham, Edward Fox, Henry Goodman, Steve Nallon and Gwen Taylor and appearances from Clare Balding, Robert Harris and Rick Stein.

Robert Powell and Liza Goddard will star in Alan Ayckbourn's comedy Relatively Speaking, A Princess Undone stars Stephanie Beacham and Jason Merrells, A Room with a View stars Felicity Kendal, and Gwen Taylor, Daragh O'Malley, Niamh McGrady and Will Featherstone star in Emlyn Williams's psychological thriller Night Must Fall.

Steve Nallon and Paul Bradley will star as Margaret Thatcher and Geoffrey Howe in the political tale Dead Sheep, while Lucy Parham and Henry Goodman will present Elégie: Rachmaninoff—A Heart in Exile, chronicling the life of the titular composer and pianist.

Shakespeare meets showbiz in The Shakespeare Revue, Sand in the Sandwiches sees Edward Fox bringing John Betjeman's poetry to life and Noël Coward's This Happy Breed shows the lives and loves of a South London family.

Clare Balding marks the publication of her very first children's book The Racehorse Who Wouldn't Gallop, while thriller writer Robert Harris will present A Dead Good Evening and Rick Stein will speak about his Long Weekends.

Also visiting are Southern Pro Musica's concert Romantic Masterpieces, Agatha Christie's The Mousetrap and The Russian State Ballet and Opera House with Swan Lake and Sleeping Beauty.

This year's pantomime will be Aladdin.
