For the final production of its 10th anniversary season, Guildford Shakespeare Company will stage a new adaptation of Grimms' Fairy Tales in a Flemish Mirror Tent.

Following previous adaptations of Alice in Wonderland and The Wind in the Willows, GSC has again commissioned the script from in-house writer Ant Stones.

A cast of five will bring to life 40 characters from 10 of the Brothers Grimms' twisted tales, including Hansel and Gretel, Little Red Cap and Rumplestilskin, as well as One Eyes and Three Eyes and The Musicians of Bremen.

Following her production last year of Alice in Wonderland, Charlotte Conquest directs, and Grimms' Fairy Tales will include original music and songs by Tom Jack Merivale.

Performances take place from 8 to 30 October in a 1930s Mirror Tent called La Gaieté, shipped to Guildford's Stoke Park from Belgium.
