Guilford's Yvonne Arnaud Theatre new season

The new season has been announced at the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre in Guildford.

Marking the 100th anniversary of the First World War, Peter Duncan stars in Birdsong, based on Sebastian Faulks's world-famous novel.

Southern Pro Musica, who will perform in the final concert of the prestigious Guildford International Music Festival 2015, provide music for The Genius of Mozart.

Starring Wendi Peters, Ian Reddington and Christopher Villiers, Oh What A Lovely War features some of the greatest songs from the First World War.

The Agatha Christie Company, marking its tenth anniversary, brings Paul Nicholas, Colin Buchanan, Susan Penhaligon, Mark Curry, Verity Rushword, Frazer Hines and Ben Neaton to the stage in And Then There Were None.

Performance Preparation Academy third year musical theatre students perform The World Goes 'Round, an evening of humour, romance, drama and non-stop melody.

Sasha Regan's award-winning all-male production of the Gilbert and Sullivan classic The Pirates of Penzance will also pay a visit, as will Nikolai Foster's celebrated anniversary production of Beautiful Thing which stars multi-award-winning actress Charlie Brooks.

Alex Parker returns to the Yvonne Arnaud with a brand new production of Sunset Boulevard, the seven Tony Award-winning musical based on Billy Wilder's Academy Award-winning film.

This year's pantomime will be Jack and the Beanstalk, opening on 4 December 2015.
