Heartbeat

Long-running television drama series Heartbeat is brought to life on stage at the Opera House, Manchester this month.

Based on the Constable series of novels by Nicholas Rhea, Heartbeat ran for 18 years from 1992 to 2010.

Now it comes to the stage starring TV regulars David Lonsdale who played David Stockwell and Steven Blakely who played PC Geoff Younger.

They are joined by a cast including Hollyoaks star Matt Milburn playing PC Joe Malton. Other characters including Gina Ward and Bernie Scripps will also be making an appearance in this production which, with use of video footage, recreates the atmosphere of the 1960s rural Yorkshire settings.
