HOME, Manchester’s new international centre for art, theatre and film, presents a world première performance from critically-acclaimed Hofesh Shechter Company, ahead of the venue’s official opening on May 21.

The Bad (a working title) features an ensemble of five dancers—Maëva Berthelot, Sam Coren, Phil Hulford, Kim Kohlmann, and Erion Kruja—accompanied by Shechter’s trademark electronic scores, interwoven with dark, dubstep beats.

The run will also include Shechter’s rarely performed debut work, Fragments, an influential piece that catapulted him to the fore of the dance world.

The HOME opening weekend will take place from May 21 to 25 and will feature the world première of theatre production The Funfair, adapted by leading dramatist Simon Stephens, and HOME’s opening group exhibition.
