Uncle Eric’s Murder at Christmas

A murder mystery with a difference, involving “fabulous frolics, side-splitting comedy and ‘60s music galore”, is one of the festive events at Newcastle-under-Lyme’s New Vic Theatre.

Uncle Eric’s Murder at Christmas will feature Eric, his wife Madge and their gang of musical misfits as they undertake another production of nostalgia and comedy which is unique to north Staffordshire audiences.

Eric’s had a brilliant idea—he’s going to join an amateur dramatic society. There are lots of available women and he will be perfect as the detective in the group’s new murder mystery.

But jealousy, petty rivalries and personal grudges mean that things start turning nasty. Then Madge turns up. And there’s a murder.

Uncle Eric’s visit to the New Vic started in 1999 as a one-night only event but quickly became a north Staffordshire tradition.

Uncle Eric’s Murder at Christmas runs at the New Vic from Monday 2 until Saturday 14 December.
