Roald Dahl’s much loved story, George’s Marvellous Medicine, comes to The Lowry from February 20 to 24.

Curve and Rose Theatre Kingston’s production stars young actor Preston Nyman, as George. Preston is the son of Leicestershire-born Andy Nyman, known for his work with Derren Brown. Lisa Howard, known for her recurring role as Grace Sheehan in Emmerdale, will play the grizzly Grandma. Catherine Morris will play George’s Mum, Justin Wilman as his Dad and Chandni Mistry as the Chicken.

Most grandmothers are lovely, kind, helpful old ladies. Not George’s Grandmother. George’s Grandmother likes to gobble up slugs and bugs, and is always telling George what to do.
