Kay and Pejic to work magic in Wolverhampton panto

Princess: Lucy Kay who appeared on Britain’s Got Talent
Illusionist: Stefan Pejic will play Abanazar

Soprano Lucy Kay will play Princess Jasmine and illusionist Stefan Pejic will be Abanazar in Wolverhampton Grand Theatre’s 2016 panto Aladdin.

Kay appeared on the 2014 series of Britain’s Got Talent. She also played the narrator alongside Joe McElderry in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat which toured to the Grand in May 2016.

Pejic is known for his comedy and magic shows. He is also an established writer and is working on a comedy series, plays, a film and a musical.

As previously announced, Joe McElderry will play Aladdin, Lisa Riley is Slave of the Ring, Ben Faulks plays the Chief of the Peking Police, Doreen Tipton is the Lazy Empress of China and Ian Adams is Widow Twankey.

Grand chief executive Adrian Jackson said, “the addition of Lucy and Stefan ensures that this year’s production offers the very best of variety from an incredibly talented and popular cast.”

Aladdin which is staged by Qdos Entertainment runs at the Grand from Saturday 10 December until Sunday 22 January 2017.
