Martin Kemp, Bradley Walsh and the proposed set of Peter Pan – Christmas in Neverland

Martin Kemp and Bradley Walsh will appear in “the world’s biggest pantomime” Peter Pan—Christmas in Neverland at the Barclaycard Arena, Birmingham in December 2017.

The producers are hoping the panto will earn a place in the Guinness World Records as the world’s biggest Christmas show.

Spandau Ballet singer and EastEnders actor Kemp will play Captain Hook while actor and presenter Walsh will play Smee.

Kemp said, “what really makes this production different from any other is the scale and size of everything. You won’t have seen anything like it.”

Walsh added, “I’m very excited to be in the world’s biggest Christmas show and I know it's going to be bigger, better and funnier than ever.”

J M Barrie’s original story and characters will be brought to life by a cast of more than 100 performers. The show will be performed across three arena stages on a film-style Neverland set.

Special effects will include a life-size Jolly Roger galleon “sailing” around the Arena in front of a 10,000-gallon water wall and “the biggest, scariest animatronic crocodile you’ve ever seen”.

Peter Pan—Christmas in Neverland runs at the Barclaycard Arena, Birmingham from Wednesday 20 until Sunday 24 December and at the SSE Arena, Wembley on Friday 29 and Saturday 30 December.
