Brigit Forsyth and Zoe Mills in Killing Time

Brigit Forsyth is to star alongside her daughter, Zoe Mills, in Killing Time, a new comedy exploring inspiration, music, life and the right to die.

When professional cellist Hester Brook (Brigit Forsyth) is diagnosed with terminal cancer, she resigns herself to the prospect of a graceful and dignified final curtain. Such hopes are dashed however with the arrival of her new carer, Sara (Zoe Mills). Armed with the best intentions, little social sense and a morbid belief in the importance of a social media legacy, Sara's school of care proves to be anathema to Hester's gallows humour.

Killing Time will also see the Park Theatre's first dementia-friendly performance on Wednesday 1 March.

Brigit Forsyth said, "Hester is the best and most challenging part I've ever taken on. She has everything one could hope for to try and play: great courage, strength, vulnerability, humour and then there's the music!

"I have never been so frightened and excited by taking on a character—and it's written by my daughter. No pressure then!"
