Amongst shows coming up at Manchester’s Hope Mill Theatre:

  • Performed in complete darkness, The True History of the Tragic Life and Triumphant Death of Julia Pastrana, the Ugliest Woman in the World is a play that tells the true story of a 19th century South American Indian who was sold by her family. From July 3 to 9.

  • As part of Greater Manchester Fringe Festival LS Theatre Productions presents The Salford Belles, July 17 to 22. Living on the breadline in the backstreets of Salford was never destined to be glamorous but after a lifetime of cooking, cleaning, caring and conspiring, Queenie, Mary and Martha are at their wits end.
