A new production of Jim Cartwright's comedy drama The Rise and Fall of Little Voice is to open at The Theatre Chipping Norton before transferring to the Greenwich Theatre, London.
It will be the first co-production between the two venues and is Chipping Norton Theatre's “biggest show to date”. It features Sarah Moss as the shy Little Voice who escapes her mundane life by hiding herself away listening to her late father’s record collection.
The rest of the cast comprises Julie Armstrong (Mari Hoff), Jud Charlton (Ray Say), Oliver Burkill (Billy), Cally Lawrence (Sadie) and Shaun Hennessey (Mr Boo).
Bronagh Lagan directs The Rise and Fall of Little Voice which won the 1993 Olivier Award for best comedy. It opens at The Theatre Chipping Norton on Wednesday 14 September and runs until Saturday 24 September. It then transfers to Greenwich Theatre from Wednesday 28 September until Sunday 9 October.
