Little Women

HOME Manchester will present Anne-Marie Casey's adaptation of Louisa May Alcott's Little Women for December, directed by Brigid Larmour, originally seen at Pitlochry Festival Theatre in 2022, co-produced by Watford Palace Theatre.

Abigail 'Marmee' March, the nurturing and wise matriarch of the March family, will be played by Kacey Ainsworth (Eastenders, Call the Midwife, Grantchester). The March sisters will be played by Jessica Brydges (Around the World in Eighty Days, Sunshine on Leith at Pitlochry Festival) as beautiful Meg, Rachael McAllister (To the Bone, Brief Encounter, Gypsy) as tomboy Jo, Meg Chaplin (Sunshine on Leith at Pitlochry Festival Theatre / Capital Theatres) as sensitive Beth and Julia Brown (BBC’s World on Fire, The Last Kingdom) as spoilt Amy.

Laurie, the charming and charismatic neighbour, will be played by Daniel Francis-Swaby (Going for Gold at Chelsea Theatre, Twelfth Night at the Royal Exchange).

It will be at HOME Manchester from 8 to 23 December 2023.
