The Gate Theatre has appointed Ellen McDougall as its new artistic director.
Olivier Award-nominated McDougall is currently an associate artist at the venue where she was previously associate director.
Her directorial credits include Idomeneus, The Rolling Stone, The Glass Menagerie, Anna Karenina and Cinderella.
McDougall starts as artistic director in March 2017; she replaces Christopher Haydon.
