London's National Theatre season from December

The programme from December at London's National Theatre was revealed this week.

Highlights include Ivo van Hove directing Ruth Wilson in Hedda Gabler in a new version by Patrick Marber and Elizabeth Debicki, Mark Strong and Hope Davis directed by Robert Icke in David Hare’s The Red Barn (based on La Main by Georges Simenon).

Michael Longhurst directs Amadeus with Lucian Msamati as Salieri and Alexander Zeldin directs Birmingham Repertory Theatre co-production Love.

Also in the programme is Bryony Kimmings's new musical A Pacifist’s Guide To The War On Cancer (book by Bryony Kimmings and Brian Lobel, music by Tom Parkinson and lyrics by Bryony Kimmings) and Peter Pan with Sophie Thompson as Captain Hook/Mrs Darling.

The National Theatre offers audio-described, captioned and relaxed performances as well as pre-show Contego wireless audio amplified backstage tours and touch tours and Braille and large-print cast lists. Full information is available online.
