The Theatre, Chipping Norton has announced that its 2017 panto will be Sleeping Beauty which at 101 performances will be one of the longest panto runs in the country.
Chipping Norton’s secret panto recipe “rustles together a banquet of original music from Harry Sever, a sleep-stirring script from Andrew Pollard and dreamy direction from the theatre’s artistic director John Terry”.
Connor Bannister will play Prince Jagger and Eamonn Fleming will mark his first year as Dame at Chipping Norton, playing Nanny Fanny. Lucy Penrose joins the cast as Princess Rose along with Christian James as Willy Wallflower and Bea Holland as Fairy Flax. Erica Guyatt is the villain, Belladonna Bindweed, and Paul Tonkin is King Lenny.
Set designs are by Max Dorey and costumes by Emily Stuart. Musical director will be Alex Maynard, lighting designer is John Bishop and movement director will be Helen Carpenter.
Sleeping Beauty will run from Tuesday 14 November until Sunday 14 January 2018.
