National Youth Theatre 60th anniversary

The National Youth Theatre has announced that 11 successful applicants from Manchester out of 750 new members from 4,750 applicants are to join in 2016 for the organisation’s 60th anniversary year.

Auditions and interviews have taken place up and down the country to find the best young talent that the UK has to offer, as thousands of young applicants aged between 14 and 25 hoped to gain a place on the prestigious acting courses, as well as the new technical courses taking place this summer.

Successful acting applicants follow in the footsteps of alumni such as Dame Helen Mirren, Daniel Craig, Chiwetel Ejiofor CBE and Sir Daniel Day Lewis.

The successful applicants from Manchester who will join the organisation for its diamond year are: Lucy Meagh, Emma Yates, Georgina Wormald, Nathalie Wright, Liam Watson, Becky Bowe, Phoebe Coop, Tawana Dingembira, Jessica Parsons, Francis Oduor and Williams Andrews.
