Matt Knight, known for his performance on BBC’s Let it Shine, will star as Akela in a new urban version of Jungle Book at The Lowry in Salford at the end of August.
The re-imagining of Kipling’s classic will also star some of the UK's leading dancers and circus performers.
Award-winning Metta Theatre’s new version uses street dance, circus and spoken word. It is a contemporary urban jungle of skateboarding wolves, street dancing monkeys, a beat-loving bin man Baloo and graffiti artist Bagheera.
It runs from August 29 to September 2 with Thursday and Saturday matinées.
