Nicholas Hytner’s award-winning comedy One Man, Two Guvnors tours to Stoke’s Regent Theatre from Monday until Saturday.

Young people’s company Playbox Theatre performs Marsha Norman’s musical adaptation of Frances Hodgson Burnett’s The Secret Garden at the Dream Factory, Warwick from Wednesday until Sunday.

Touring company Pantaloons takes its “inimitable” open-air version of Shakespeare’s The Tempest to Nottingham Castle on Thursday.

Heartbreak Productions has two of its shows in the Midlands: Macbeth at Charlecote Park, Warwickshire on Thursday and Pride and Prejudice at the Brockhampton Estate, Worcestershire on Sunday.

Scooby Doo and the gang return to the stage with spooky mystery and fun in Scooby Doo! The Mystery of the Pyramid at the Theatre Royal, Nottingham from Friday until Sunday.

A “collection of tales featuring camaraderie, swashbuckling action, and riotous comedy” is in store when Illyria presents Robin Hood in the open air at Nottingham Castle on Saturday.

Uncle Eric and his gang of singers, actors and musicians continue in Eric and Cleopatra at the New Vic, Newcastle-under-Lyme until Saturday.

Wicked, which has only one date in the Midlands on its first UK tour, continues at Birmingham Hippodrome until Saturday 6 September.

At the Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford, in the Royal Shakespeare Theatre The Two Gentlemen of Verona continues until Thursday 4 September and Henry IV Parts I and II continue until Saturday 6 September while in the Swan Thomas Middleton and Thomas Dekker’s The Roaring Girl continues until Tuesday 30 September, Arden of Faversham continues until Thursday 2 October and John Webster’s revenge tragedy The White Devil continues until Saturday 29 November.
