The Octagon in Bolton is teaming up with Guildford Shakespeare Company to present a live online production of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, September 24–27.
It’s the first of its kind for the venue, and the latest offering from Octagon Online, a hub of digital activities keeping audiences in Bolton and beyond entertained whilst the £12 million redevelopment of the venue is completed.
It is set to open its doors in December.
The online Dream is a special adaptation based on GSC’s 2017 open-air production directed by the Octagon’s artistic director, Lotte Wakeham, who also directs this latest version.
The 75-minute production, live-streamed on Zoom, features a cast of six.
Tickets are £20 per device (max 2 people per device) and £10 per additional viewer.
