More Solid 60s for the Grand

Solid Silver 60s Show

The Grand Theatre, Blackpool will see the return of the popular Solid Silver 60s Show which this year kicks off its landmark 30-date 30th anniversary tour in the seaside town.

For 2015, the show sees original Merseybeats star and Brian Epstein-mentored Billy J Kramer headline the bill, who announces his first UK dates in nearly two decades. To coincide with his performance, Kramer is also set to release a new autobiographical studio album, I Won The Fight, the Liverpudlian’s first new studio album in 30 years.

Also confirmed is the original voice of The Searchers, Mike Pender ("Sweets For My Sweet", "Don’t Throw Your Love Away"), Chris Farlowe ("Handbags and Gladrags", "Out Of Time") and P P Arnold ("Angel Of The Morning", "The First Cut Is The Deepest").

For this special anniversary tour, The Merseybeats ("I Think Of You", "Don’t Turn Around", "Wishin’ And Hopin’"), one of the Cavern Club’s original alumni who have performed with The Beatles and Gerry & The Pacemakers, will also take to the stage as special guests.

The Solid Silver 60s Show kicks off its birthday tour on March 22.
