Nine-show line-up for From Page to Stage season of new musicals

From Page to Stage runs at the Tristan Bates Theatre from 25 October to 21 November

This year's From Page to Stage season of new musical theatre work features a full-scale production, three fully-staged readings and four showcases.

The work of British writing team Tim Connor (music and lyrics) and Susannah Pearse (book), dark chamber piece The Stationmaster, headlines the programme with a two-week run.

The readings are a new musical by Loserville writing duo Elliot Davies and James Bourne, Out There, Five Children & It by Helen Watts and Eamonn O’Dwyer and a new piece from Tim Sanders and Charles Miller, Princess Phyllida’s Fortnight.

Last year, the From Page to Stage programme including a reading of Sanders and Miller's Return Of The Soldier which went on to have a full production at Jermyn Street Theatre.

The showcase events are comprised of 25-minute excerpts of four new musicals in development.

Full production:

  • The Stationmaster – 3 to 15 November

Staged rehearsed readings:

  • Out There –27 to 29 October
  • Five Children & It –30 and 31 October
  • Princess Phyllida’s Fortnight –17 to 19 November
