Reckless Sleepers will perform The Last Supper in the parish church of St John the Baptist
LAStheatre will stage The Institute of Impossibility in Drapers’ Hall

Coventry Mysteries has unveiled its festival programme which will bring together international artists and local performers.

In its fifth year, the Coventry Mysteries draws on the city’s tradition of craft and performance. It aims to “bring different communities together and to create moments of everyday wonder and civic pride for the people of Coventry and surrounding areas”.

This year’s Mysteries Festival takes place from Friday until Monday, 23 to 26 May.

Among the attractions will be Reckless Sleepers’ The Last Supper, an “intimate” production in the medieval parish church of St John the Baptist.

Award-winning LAStheatre will transform Drapers’ Hall, one of the city’s empty historic spaces, to stage The Institute of Impossibility, “a theatrical adventure exploring the evolution of all things, from satellites to storytelling, crops to houses”.

Missing will use first-hand interviews of families, politicians and the police to bring to light the stories of some of the 210,000 people who go missing every year in the UK.

The full programme is available at the Coventry Mysteries web site.
