Northampton Royal and Derngate’s interactive children’s show Flathampton has won an Argus Angel award at the Brighton Festival.

The Argus Angel Awards were introduced in 2007 to celebrate artistic excellence during the Brighton Festival and Brighton Festival Fringe.

Flathampton, which was performed in the Derngate auditorium for a week in 2010 and was revived in 2011, played to audiences at the Brighton Dome Corn Exchange.

Royal and Derngate chief executive Martin Sutherland commented, “We’re delighted that Flathampton has made such an impact at the Brighton Festival and I’d like to thank everyone involved in staging the show for all their hard work.”
