Joan, Babs and Shelagh Too

Conscious Theatre's production Joan, Babs and Shelagh Too has its northern debut at Three Minute Theatre in Manchester July 14 to 15.

Directed by Olivier Award-winning actor and improviser Oliver Senton, it’s a journey through the life of Joan Littlewood, one of the greatest theatrical visionaries.

Blending biographical detail with Brechtian technique, song, puppetry and cabaret, the production is a tribute to a story exploring working class ambition and identity, a rejection of gender stereotypes, the nature of success and how theatre transitioned from escapism to politicism under Littlewood’s watch.
