Jesus Christ Superstar, Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s ground-breaking rock opera, returns to the Palace Theatre in Manchester this week.

The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas, the best–selling novel of forbidden friendship, comes to the stage for the first time at The Lowry in Salford this week.

Charlie Brooks, best known as Janine Butcher in BBC soap EastEnders, leads a cast of familiar faces in Jonathan Harvey’s modern classic Beautiful Thing at The Lowry in Salford this week.

After 12 sell-out seasons, Reallife Theatre Company returns to its Joshua Brooks pub theatre site in Manchester this week with JB Shorts 13.

Dragged Up is described as an ugly tale of love, devastation, manipulation and consequences and will be presented at just four shows at the Eagle Inn Theatre near the Blueprint Studios off Trinity Way/Blackfriars Road on Wednesday and Thursday.

Sweet soul music rings out at Preston Charter Theatre next Thursday. Motown’s Greatest Hits - How Sweet It Is features The Formations in a live celebration of the best music from America’s Detroit City.
