Lancaster Arts at Lancaster University presents two family shows in the Nuffield Theatre this February half term. Contemporary circus company Lost In Translation is on next Saturday. The following Tuesday, the true story of the unlikely friendship between a wild polar bear and husky is explored in Breaking the Ice.

European circus greats, sideshow sensations, a steampunk werewolf, a post-millennium take on Punch & Judy and acrobats and contemporary cabaret stars all mean Showzam! is back in Blackpool. The now annual festival of circus and performance returns this February half-term for eight days.

Britain’s Got Talent’s Lucy Kay plays the Narrator in the touring production of Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, also starring X Factor winner Joe McElderry and coming to Blackpool Opera House next week.

Smith & Fuel presents The Preston Bill written and performed by Andy Smith. It tells a tale of a man from that city, and is at The Storey, Lancaster on Tuesday.

The Bishop of Liverpool has volunteered to star as Humpty Dumpty in The Alice Experience at St George’s Hall which opens this week.
