After The Floods at The Dukes
Sweet Charity at the Royal Exchange

Just a year after storms saw the Lancaster area blacked out, The Dukes in the city will next week present a celebration of community triumph over adversity. The experiences are reflected in After the Floods, an original production by Alternative Outcomes, a theatre company formed at The Dukes in 2013 by a group who access Lancaster District Homeless Action Service.

A magical carpet ride awaits families at Blackpool Grand from next Friday. TV soap regular Mark Moraghan (Holby City, Coronation Street) will don the cloak as evil villain Abanazer in this year’s Christmas panto Aladdin.

The UK tour of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang parks up at The Lowry in Salford for Christmas, from next Tuesday to January 15.

Manchester’s Royal Exchange theatre is transformed into the hustle and bustle of New York City, when Derek Bond returns to the venue to direct the Tony-nominated Broadway hit Sweet Charity.

Salford’s Lowry arts centre stages a special seasonal production of Horrible Histories - Horrible Christmas from next Wednesday through to January 8.
