Richard Blackwood, Eilish O’Carroll and Lloyd Warbey are to join the cast of Cinderella, Derby LIVE’s 2016 production at Derby Arena.

TV and radio presenter, stand-up comic and EastEnders actor Blackwood will play Buttons. O’Carroll—Winnie McGoogan in the television sitcom Mrs Brown’s Boys—is the fairy godmother and Lloyd Warbey, all-round entertainer and presenter of the children’s TV show Art Attack, will be Dandini.

Richard Blackwood said, “I’m so excited to be joining the cast of Cinderella. I always have so much fun on stage and love having laughs with the audience.”

Pantomime producer Paul Holman said, “I’m delighted to have secured such a brilliant actor as Richard to play Buttons. It’s the perfect part for him to showcase his warmth, energy, enthusiasm and big personality. It’ll give him every opportunity to dish out his quick-fire one-liners, charm and mischievous behaviour.

“Eilish, a lady known to millions for her laugh-out-loud comedy talents who packs out theatres wherever she goes, is sure to continue our tradition of providing big laughs and comedy moments for all the family.

“Lloyd is a first-rate entertainer and performer. We’re thrilled to have him join our already sensationally talented cast in what’s shaping up to be one of biggest pantomime productions we’ve ever seen in Derby.”

Cinderella runs from Tuesday 6 December until Tuesday 3 January 2017.
