A story with songs, games and audience participation: Play Time

The theatre company of TV comedy writer-performers Matt Zeqiri and Oliver Neck, Of Mice Theatre, will stage its first full-length play at Buxton Fringe, Play Time.

It features Elton and a new acquaintance who get mixed up in a nasty incident which has put someone in hospital. Now the powers-that-be will decide who is to blame, and the verdict is sure to have life-changing ramifications. It’s a lot to deal with when you’re only nine years old.

The production is intended to showcase Zeqiri and Neck’s “unique writing and performing talents” at theatre and comedy festivals in 2017, with the show comprising a single story intermingled with songs, games and audience participation.

Neck and Zeqiri are currently developing several projects for TV and stage. In 2015, they won best play at the Fourplay Theatre Festival in Paris for Man of the Moment which is being reworked into a radio sitcom.

Play Time will be performed at the Old Clubhouse, Under the Fringe, on Wednesday 5 July and Monday 10 July at 7PM and Tuesday 11 July at 5:30PM.
