The 17th Asian Achievers Awards have seen playwright Tanika Gupta MBE take home the Achievement In Media Award.
Gupta received the Award for her work in theatre, radio and television. She has written over 20 plays including titles such as Meet the Mukherjees, Lions and Tigers and Love 'n' Stuff.
For television, her credits include EastEnders and Grange Hill.
Tanika Gupta received her MBE for services to drama.
