After unprecedented demand for tickets, The Professor of Adventure—Theatre by the Lake’s Spring Studio production—takes to the road this April on a tour through Cumbria and beyond.
Peter Macqueen’s performance as Millican Dalton, opened at the Keswick theatre on March 19. But demand to get a glimpse of this imaginative interpretation of Millican’s life meant that before the curtain had risen on the first night many were left disappointed that they hadn’t booked sooner.
Set over 1940 and 1941, the play looks at a specific period of Dalton’s life during which he lived in a cave in Borrowdale. Guaranteed to provide food for thought, the story ponders the character of a man who faces the challenges of spending an entire Lake District winter outdoors in the midst of the blitz.
