HOME Manchester's PUSH festival will build on its previous Re:Play Festival to bring seven productions from Manchester theatre companies into its Theatre 2 space in January 2016.

Re:Play, which HOME and its predecessor Library Theatre Company ran for the last nine years, revived Manchester Fringe productions from the preceding twelve months. PUSH 2016 will feature "productions from some of Greater Manchester’s most exciting theatre companies", some of which have not been seen in the city before.

HOME's Artistic Director: Theatre, Walter Meierjohann, said, "I discovered pretty quickly after first arriving in the city nearly two years ago that Manchester is home to wide and diverse range of first-rate theatre companies, and having worked across Europe, I can confirm that Manchester’s theatre ecology is something quite special.

"We are committed at HOME to showcasing the best of the companies’ work, so it fits neatly that we are able to offer our facilities and production expertise to some of those companies."

There will be a programme of workshops and discussions alongside the performance schedule led by members of the participating companies and other practitioners from around the country.

Running from Thursday 14 to Sunday 24 January, the festival will include Roseacre from Square Peg Theatre, A Brave & Startling Truth from Sheep Knuckle, You Must Be The One To Bury Me from Babel Theatre, Prison Game from Hercules Productions, A-Bomb on Broadway from 1121 Collective, When I Feel Like Crap I Google Kim Kardashian Fat from Mighty Heart Theatre and What's The Matter With You?, also from Mighty Heart Theatre.

Workshops and events include Making Theatre in a Cold Climate and Making Cinematic Theatre led by Babel Theatre, Introduction to Puppetry led by Joseph Richardson, Mothers Who Make led by Matilda Leyser, Approaches to New Writing led by Direct North and Introduction to Lecoq led by Square Peg Theatre.
