The Proposal and To Be a Wife are presented by activist theatre company Goblin Baby Theatre Co at London's The Hen & Chickens Theatre next month.
Both comedies are about same-sex marriage: The Proposal re–works Chekhov's one-act-classic into a futuristic farce about equality in light of the widely-discussed discrimination of LGBT people in Russia, and To Be a Wife is a new play by Tilly Lunken looking at marriage in 1914 and 2014.
