Scottish Plays Database Over the next few years the Playwrights' Studio Scotland intends to create an online directory of all new plays professionally produced in Scotland. This directory will allow people all over the world to search for Scottish plays by a variety of categories i.e. playwright, theatre company, cast size, original cast and venue at which it premiered etc. At present they are looking for information on plays given a world premiere in Scotland, or plays by Scottish playwrights given a world premiere anywhere outside of Scotland between January 1999 and December 2004. This includes adaptations of plays or novels and any devised theatre works for which a play-script exists. Anyone with relevant information should please email Pamela Carter at Pamela@playwrightsstudio.co.uk for a submission form. Please note that all three Archive indices are very long and will therefore take some time to download.
