Storyhouse in Chester has announced the cast for the world’s first ever stage adaptation of Enid Blyton’s The Secret Seven coming to the brand new £37m arts venue this Christmas.
From December 1 until January 14, the production will be staged at Chester’s new theatre, cinema and library which opened in May.
Storyhouse’s artistic director Alex Clifton will direct the production, reimagined for the stage by playwright Glyn Maxwell.
Blyton’s group of mystery solvers will be played by Harry Jardine, George Caple, Aryana Ramkhalawon, Harriet Slater, Kaffe Keating, Anton Cross and Molly Logan. Completing the cast is Nick Figgis, Joel Sam and Tilly Mae Millbrook.
And returning to Chester after the summer performing in the inaugural season’s rep company are Barbara Hockaday and Rebecca Birch.
