Small Wonders third commission

National commissioning and professional development body Small Wonders has announced the details of its third project: theatre companies Peut-être and Dante or Die will collaborate to create a performance using music, theatre and story-telling for the under 5s.

The planned work, titled Clunk, is based on the stories and poems of Russian surrealist writer Daniil Kharms and uses Balkan music, song, visual imagery and movement in its interpretation of his works.

The finished piece will tour nationally to seven arts festivals during next summer.

Small Wonders is run by Bristol-based Alchemy Productions. Its previous commissions are Fevered Sleep's Little Universe and Commotion Dance's Little Artist, Big Painting which will tour this year to Fuse Medway Festival, Hat Fair Winchester, IF:Milton Keynes International Festival, Mintfest, Kendal Cumbria, Activate Performing Arts Dorset, Norfolk & Norwich Festival and 3 Foot People Festival, Chelmsford.
