Rainbow Scars in Afrovibes at Contact Manchester

Afrovibes festival at Contact in Manchester is from October 27 to November 1.

It features dance, drama, music and from some of South Africa’s best artists including hugely popular music trio The Soil who perform a blend of gospel, pop and soul influenced tracks a cappella and have just released their second album—the first one having gone platinum.

Meanwhile, Mamela uses dance, song and theatre to tell the uplifting true stories of a group of South African women who lived through the end of apartheid and the birth of the ‘new South Africa’, Rainbow Scars about the experiences of an adopted child growing up in a family of a different race and a dance double bill celebrating what freedom means to South.

Several shows and events are free and family friendly.
